Lesson 7 - Supernova
In this lesson, students will learn what a supernova is, how and why a supernova explosion happens, how often they occur, can they be seen here on Earth, how it can benefit the formation of new stars, how it results in the distribution of heavier elements like iron and nickel throughout the universe, and why some stars collapse into neutron stars after a supernova while others collapse to form black holes.
